Hi @gabstine,
Did you try clearing the browser cache, or logging in from a different browser? This often helps in such cases.
I would also try to login directly on the https domain, by explicitly typing https://domain.com/wp-login.php
If you have any security plugins, or custom login plugins, which hide the back-end, or redirect, you may need to deactivate these as well.
Wow! Thank you so much, this actually worked. I had to deactivate the WPS-Hide-Login plugin from the cPanel and can now gain access to the dashboard. Please, how do I change the WP Admin login URL of the site for security reasons? I will be glad if I can do that as I don’t know if I should re-activate the WPS-Hide-Login plugin back again since that’s what caused the login issue at first.
Thanks so much for your great help. Cheers.

Hi,
there are a number of other plugins that allow you to change the login URL of the backend, for example iThemes Security offers this feature as well.

Okay, thanks a lot. I will check it out & hope it doesn’t conflict with the SSL plugin again. Cheers.
I don’t think this plugin conflicts, it only was using the “old” http url for the hide backend feature.
Re-saving the settings in that plugin should fix the issue as well.
