Export Donor Comments?

    Is there a way to view/export donor comments en masse? I’m speaking of comments not from the form field manager, but from the donation form itself (“as noted in the settings: Do you want to provide donors the ability to add a comment to their donation? The comment will display publicly on the donor wall if they do not select to give anonymously.”).

    Hi Caroline,

    I honestly need to check in that in detail myself, but because the comments are stored as payment meta, you should be able to use any of our Donation EXPORTs to get that information. Simply go to “Donations > Tools > Exports” and use a “Donation” export to CSV and you should find that information there.

    Let me know if I’m totally wrong 🙂 I’ll double-check it and circle back tomorrow.

    Hi Matt! I did try that before and just retried, but there are no categories for comments in that export 🙂

    Hi there,

    We’ve been working on several tweaks and fixes for both the Donor Wall and the donor comments for Give version 2.3. We are having to change the way we store those comments for compatibility with other comment-based plugins and other purposes. So that means we need to finish that work first, and then we can implement a real export functionality. See this issue here:
