    Hi,

    I’m just trying to use your plugin and each time I click on the button it open me a new windows with that url and not the pop up or modal chat windows.

    https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=32XXXXXXXXX

    What must I do, to have the popup or modal windows for chatting.

    I’m on localhost with wampserver not on a real server.

    Hello.

    This plugin don’t show a chat window (the WhatsApp API still don’t allow it).

    The behavior depends on the browser and the operating system. The plugin launches a link to api.whatsapp.com. This link opens the WhatsApp app on mobile phones and on the desktop opens the WhatsApp application if it’s installed or WhatsApp Web otherwise.
