Searching custom posts

Hi – I’m very new to WP, managing the website for my church. Scraping by with a lot of self help and plug-ins!

We’ve an Excel spreadsheet (CSV format) which I have managed to import into WP using “All Import”. The csv contains Grave information (Surname, Inscription, DOB etc).
I have created the custom post “Graves” to import the csv into this area.
So far so good….we now have 339 individual posts for each grave.

However I am trying to build a page that has a very simple search box that enables the visitor to type in a surname and then see if we have that in our graveyard records…if we do, it should take them to that post, if we don’t simply advise that the name doesn’t exist on our records.

I’m sure it’s easy, but I’ve searched for days trying to find a way to do this (that doesn’t involve coding)….It’s probably easy, or more likely my approach is completely wrong! I would really appreciate any pointers.
