The MC4WP default form works and subscriber is posted to the correct MC list.

However there is NO “Successfully subscribed” message after signup – the signup button goes “dot dot dot” but no message appears under the form.

IF the subscriber is already on list, then the “Given email address is already subscribed, thank you!” DOES appear, likewise the “Ooops” message if you try and signup a deleted subscriber.

The only message NOT appearing is the Success message — which is a problem because users keep putting in email again and again – the dot dot dot processing message isn’t enough clue that it worked!

Tried turning OFF Ajax for the form and that threw a fatal error too. So I turned it back on 🙂

Oddly, I also have MC4WP Top Bar installed and working properly — and it DOES show it’s success message!! 🙂

I tried this in both free and Premium versions, and in several of my websites, same result, no Success Message. 🙁 Same result if using MC4WP widget OR putting the shortcode in the Custom HTML widget.

The MC4WP email form box is in the website footer, lower right widget (now using the Custom HTML widget with MC4WP shortcode). [The horizontal signup form on home page is eNews Extended plugin not MC4WP].

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The problem was the plugin was connected to the old Mailchimp API – I deleted and reinstalled both free and premium, this then triggered the “update to V3 API” message — when I did that, now the Success messages are appearing!

You must have been on a very old version of our plugin if you were still on API v2!

Thanks for letting us know how you solved the issue.

    Kind regards,
