Feature Image

I am running WP Residence with images hosted in Cloud Front, which may be the problem. If I insert an images into a post and then also set a Featured image that image is duplicated but cannot be removed from the post. Even if I delete all content the featured image stays and there is no code to see.
This is a new problem and I want to keep both so that the featured image shows up in the blogroll. But I don’t want the image in my post to sit before the text and I cannot manipulate it. There is no page to show an example right now.

This would be something controlled by your theme. This may be fixable via CSS, so please post a link.
