I am trying to set up Revive Old Post. I believe I will eventually go Pro but wanted to test the free version first.

I am having trouble accessing Facebook. I have followed all the instructions and had trouble validating my account because of user permissions. I started the process of authentication as recommended in another support question. However, it seems that Facebook has added yet another requirement, a Screencast.

I believe part of the problem is that Facebook needs a way to separate out those of us using an already established app from those actually trying to develop an app. But that is an argument for a different forum.

In the meantime, do you have a screencast that I can upload?

You need to convince Facebook that the app is for your business and not for public use.
It’s also recommended that you open a one and one ticket with Facebook while your app is in review and tell them that the app is for your business (you need to have a registered business to use Facebook publishing now…):

Thanks for the additional info.

FYI – they are also requiring a logo now. I used my own business logo but you may want to provide a logo for future users to upload.

And one more FYI, they have removed the “ask a direct question” option. Looks like this will be a wait and see game.

You need to upload your own logo of choice to your app. The direct question option is still there, you should be able to acess it from here as well once you’re logged into business manager: https://business.facebook.com/direct-support/
