Notifications not working properly

    Hey there,

    Im using BNFW and the Event Manager Plugin in my closed community website. All I want is BNFW to send mails to all my users that a new event has been published. (everyone can create and publish events without approval of an admin)
    But its not working properly. All that is working is the trigger if an event is edited. Neither publish, approved, planned and private event is working

    So I think its not a smtp problem or that sort, cause the plugin is sending Mails, but not for the trigger i need.

    Could it be a localization issue? Im using the german localization of the event Manager plugin.

    Or does somebody have other ideas to fix my problem?

    okay , nevermind.

    I managed to get it working by adding some code to the functions.php as listed in the help / FAQ section.
    So its working now! Yay!

    BUT

    Is it not possible to add shortcodes of other plugins? When using the shortcodes of the event manager plugin in BNFW all i see is the plain text :-/

    Thanks for your message.

    Glad you got the first part of your issue working.

    That’s correct about the shortcodes from other plugins as there’s no way of knowing what the shortcode would be for when sending an email – it’s not the same as regular post content unfortunately.
    Your best bet is to try to re-implement the functionality you need by creating a custom shortcode. Details of how to do this can be found here: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/adding-custom-shortcodes/
