Im sorry, is correct, the post ID isn’t the popup ID.
Do you have some cache plugin activated? if you have, you must enable ajax mode in plugin settings sections.
Other question, what is your PHP version?

Hi – thanks for confirming.
Cache plugins are used (W3 Total Cache I think, though I can confirm) and PHP 7.1.
