• I’ve read that WordPress sends mail notifications to the admin when comments or post are made. But I’ve never received any mail from WordPress.

I’ve seen no SMTP settings or something similar to setup mail sending from WordPress.

How can I fix this? Thanks!

    Regards!

  • Email is sent to the author of a post when a comment is made if the Administration > Settings > Discussion Anyone posts a comment is set.

On some hosts you may find it necessary to install an smtp mail plugin:

    Thanks for your reply!

Then I understand that on most hosts mail should work without doing any SMTP settings.

I’ve noticed that my current host has some limitations and one of them is that I don’t have SMTP. So it’s obvious that this should not work there.

I have some other features not working as the RSS dashboard panels or the automatic plugin install. But now I think all is related to the host.

    Regards!
