Broken Themes

    Hi just starting up and new to wordpress and have installed the programme and have uploaded a 3rd party theme with no luck so then tried a wordpress theme atahualpa and get the same error message.

    I have done numerous searches on this challenge and whilst it seems to be a common problem I havent found any solutions to solve mine specifically the message I get when I enter the appearance / themes is
    “Broken Themes
    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
    Name Description
    Stylesheet is missing.”
    Hope someone can help Thanks In Advance

    That should not be happening. I should see the two default theme directories (default and classic) that came with wordpress, plus any theme folders you uploaded, or else a directory denied message. I suspect you uploaded your theme files without their folders. In fact I am sure of it. This should not happen;

    http://iansinfo.com/wp-content/themes/style.css

    The entire theme directory with all of the themes files inside of it should be uploaded to here;

    //iansinfo.com/wp-content/themes/nameoftheme/
