Default country selection at paypal

    After much googling and trials, I found out that when I set the language in WP to be English (US), the default country in Paypal is United States. When I set the language to English(UK) in WP, the default country in paypal will be United Kingdom.

    Is there a way for me to set the default country to Singapore?

    Hi @thund3r1984

    The customer location is configured under Settings > General > Default customer location rather than the extension. With the setting set to No location by default PayPal Checkout does not change the information shown on the Checkout page. Can you confirm your settings there and test again?

    I have selected shop base address under default customer location. And i have also keyed in singapore as my shop address above.

    I tried to set that to No location by default. It still sends me to UK in the paypal page

    Hi @thund3r1984

    I see what you mean now. While not logged into PayPal then “Pay with Credit Card” option defaults the country within PayPal Guest Checkout, based on the language set in WordPress.

    For this I have made an enhancement request which you can follow here:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/issues/468

    For now, customers will have to manually change the country or you’d have to have a developer come up with a custom solution.
