• I successfully password protected a page that I don’t want the public to access. It was not hard. However, in doing some testing, I’ve found it’s entirely possible and quite simple for someone who has the password to have the page open, copy the link and send it to someone else who will be able to easily view it.

Is there a way to make so this can’t happen? I don’t know coding so is there an easy way for me to correct this? I’d like the link to take them right back to the original page where they have to enter the password.

  • What’s the structure of the link? What file are you password protecting? You most likely need to password protect the whole subdirectory.

Yes…I only password protected the page I put the links on, not the links themselves. I uploaded the links to the media library. Is there a way to password protect those links and not just the page?

What are the links to? Is it a download?
