I’m having this problem too. Someone helping me with my site told me …
…just a heads up about Google Maps they very recently changed their policy on use and now require credit card details before you can use them on your site. Over a certain amount of hit ( 24,000 a month I think but not sure ) they start billing your card. Maybe not worth it unless you absolutely need it
I think you also might need an API key?
Just some unofficial ideas.

Hey there !
Thanks for reaching out — that’s a great question, I can help with that 🙂
I’m seeing this in the console when visiting your site:
Geocoding Service: You must use an API key to authenticate each request to Google Maps Platform APIs. For additional information, please refer to http://g.co/dev/maps-no-account For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
Check out out KB article for setting up API key → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/, it is correct that Google changed the API tiers, you must have a credit card on file — unless the site gets very many visitors, you’ll likely not have to pay anything.
Take care,
Ed ✌️
