    Hi guys,
    Since yesterday, I noticed every post I make in the forums is now saying the following:

    “This post has been held for moderation by our automated system and will be manually reviewed by a moderator”

    I am the author of a fairly popular plugin (All In One WP Security) and this delay which is produced by the “moderation” step is causing a big inconvenience for me and my plugin’s users.
    Actually every post I make on the forums is to basically help people or ask a relevant question and I never spam. So I’m wondering why this is happening on my account when I haven’t done anything wrong?

    That topic was being piled on by other users of the plugin, which we don’t allow. Jan raised this with those users at the time, but people continued to pile onto that topic and those people were flagged.

    Hi Andrew,
    Ok I understand your point but I wasn’t aware that I was piling on the topic.
    At the time however I did get an email stating:

    “If you need support then per the forum guidelines please start your own topic.”

    And later on I did actually raise my own topic.
    I really can’t see why my fairly benign actions would warrant me to be marked for “moderation” for every post I do. What do I need to do to take my account out of such a state?

    Just listen to us when we give advice. If you honestly didn’t read the advice then I recommend that you read all the replies in a thread that you are contributing to.

    Yes of course and that’s what I did do.
    I’m still rather perplexed about the reason for getting flagged but at least my account is now back to normal. Thanks again!

    I just looked at the guidelines again and they look fairly clear and as far as I could tell I believe I followed them at the time.
    However, I think where the misunderstanding occurred was when I first submitted my post I decided that I needed to modify it but then when I tried to do that I noticed that the post was missing. My initial thoughts were that maybe there was an issue with my browser and the first submission never got through so I submitted it again. Then quite some time later I saw the email from the moderator. If I had seen that email immediately after my first post I would not have re-submitted again.
    Maybe moderators should reply directly in the thread instead of emailing people because someone might not see the email immediately.
