Database error after change of IP
-
I use WordPress on a home server which is Ubuntu server 7.10 with LAMP stack. My router went down during a vacation and it released both LAN and WAN IP. I went through the guide called “change URL guide” found here. But still WordPress and the database seem to have problems communicating.
1. pictures: Pictures still have the old IP as their URL. How do I change this?
2. frontpage: Frontpage of blogg looks to be something the search engine of WordPress has found with a search for nothing. That is, no pictures shown and a first post which says:
Sorry, no results for
Try another search or check out one of these fine recent posts.
3. post-links: No links to posts work properly. They are still in the format http://site/category/heading and I now the url trackbacks to the correct IP. I believe the error lies within the database because of the error message:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
I have the same domain as I used to though different WAN and LAN IP and today nothing works properly. Where to start and what to do?
/Jocke
PS It would be great if there was an easier way to change IP for you wordpress setup. If I can’t get this to work properly I might walk away from wordpress because of the inconvenience for my next IP-change.
