Background: I am creating a website to sell my photographic nature prints online.

What I would like to do: Create 2 different category types / menus – one for types of photos (flowers, trees, rocks, etc.) and a second one for the location where the photos were taken (city + state).

If I were only working with WordPress and not Woocommerce, I could accomplish this by setting up two different menus then then putting these inside of a sidebar widget.

Question: How do I do this in Woocommerce in the Products / Categories section?

    Hi there,

If you’d like to have two different category types – one for types of photos (flowers, trees, rocks, etc.) and a second one for the location where the photos were taken (city + state) – you can create these two parent categories (and one sub-category, City, under the State parent category) in Products >> Categories.

You can then add sub-categories for these categories and then assign each photo (product) to multiple sub-categories, one category for the type and the second one for the location.

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/

You can then add these product categories to menu from Appearance >> Customize >> Menus, those will be under “Product categories”:

Sub-categories can then be dragged underneath the parent category to form a drop-down menu.

    I hope this helps!
