    I am getting this error for every attachment when trying to regenerate thumbnails.

    SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

    Seems to be related to the reSmush.it plugin since disabling that plugin prevents the error.

    I experience the same error, but no reSmush.it plugin is involved,
    Gutenberg is used though, but this in core now.
