• I’m using Plesk as a hosting platform, which has been set up by someone else. After logging in, I installed WordPress. Next step was choosing a theme, which I wanted to see in “visit my site”. Here I only see a bunch of html links, and no theme.

I installed a plugin to reset everything, so I did. But still the default theme “twenty seventeen” is showing only html links.
I have no technical knowledge at all and wanted to watch video tutorials which the hosting provides, and the videas are not showing either. What could the problem be?

    I need help 🙂

Ownership should be the same as your hosting account, permissions should be 644 (files) and 755 (directories).

    Thank you Steve!
This is already too technical for me :S
I haven’t set up the hosting account, so have no idea where to find this information. I’m going to try to find out.

But correct me if I’m wrong, do you mean I possibly don’t have the permission to build the website, since I’m not the owner?

No, I mean your file permissions are probably wrong. Please contact your host.
