Hey guys,
on a website with more than 500 posts and more than 10 categories, i want to create different meta templates for each categorie, but i dont know how to do it. The problem is that im not using custom post types and the effort to restructure the website with custom post types would be really huge.

Is there a possibility to create meta templates for the different categories?

You can set templates for the title and meta description for the different posts and categories by going to SEO > Search Appearance Tab and insert the appropriate variables. You can refer to this article for more information on the variables — https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/

If you mean to say you’d like for the title and meta description for the posts in each category to be different, you might want to check the bulk editor under SEO > Tools.
