    Please clarify. Does the external link carry your affiliate-id to the new external page/tab? For example if you have a product and the user is purchasing or viewing on Amazon (after clicking the link button), is your affiliate-id still attached to the newly opened page/tab?

    It carries exactly the URL you provide, so the answer is yes: You can include an affiliate ID in the URL.
