Changing password for wordpress.org

    The domain for the email address I used for my wordpress.org profile no longer exists so I need to change it to one that works.

    When I try to do that I get an email at the new address with a link to approve the change. That takes me back to the edit profile page where it tells me an email address change is pending and gives me the option to cancel the change but not to accept the change.

    If wordpress.org is also sending an email with a link to the old email address and expecting me to also approve it from there that will never happen.

    The bottom line is I need to change my email address and it isn’t working for me.

    Send all the account and email details to forum-password-resets@wordpress.org and someone will help you there. Don’t post them here.

    Is there a downside to adding a note that to change email addresses that the change will have to be verified from the old email address? Apparently the issue doesn’t come up that often.
