• I’m trying to cope with the changes from 6 to 7, which were forced on me as a rather new user by the 4.9.7 update, which of course happened whilst I was out of the country. My registrations require admin approval.

    1. The 1st “New user notification” is no longer sent to the user immediately after registration and afaics the “User Activation notification” is not sent at all. Instead the first of these is sent after the second event. The documentation now only mentions one email to the user. I’ve already had a registration where the user didn’t wait.

    2. The “New User Admin Notification” is being sent, which is an improvement on v6 whene it wasn’t sent. It’s just as well, because by abolishing the “Pending” role for users and simply recording Pending under Status on the Users list, it’s impossible to instantly spot the pending users: they aren’t recorded on the role summary and I have to search through several pages of users to find them. Please can you put a summary and filter back on the top line. (I only have 50 odd users at the moment but expect a lot more.)

    3. I have the “email only” option set for registrations, but the login page now reads “Username or Email Address” which is confusing.

    I hope the others are working ok.
