Request PowerShell and TypeScript language support
-
Hi
Given both these languages have a lot of traction whithin the SharePoint / Office 365 community, is there a plan to support them 😉 .

Already added to EnlighterJS v3
PowerShell Example: https://github.com/EnlighterJS/EnlighterJS/issues/23
TypeScript Example: https://github.com/EnlighterJS/Plugin.WordPress/issues/82best regards, Andi
Hi Andi
Thanks for your reply.
I have installed the plugin and the next question is how do I upgrade the current ENlighterJS version (see below) to 3+ . Do we install via GitHub?
Enlighter Plugin Version: 3.7
EnlighterJS Version: 2.12.0Ok, out of interest does EnlighterJS support links to Gists?

Embedded Gists are based on iframes and custom syntax highlighting by github. Therefore Enlighter is not intended for this use case.
In the future, Enlighter may support “external content” as additional feature. This allows you to use any kind of external datasource (github repository/gists).
Andi
Thanks, for your reply on Gists. Ok from what I have Googled, I see the EnlighterJS 3.x is only availble in a private beta with a limited number of themes. That said, I would be happy to test this.

If you like you can test 3.0.0-RC1 … but it won’t work with the current WordPress Plugin. Everything has changed
(it requires manual integration of the js+css files – the Visual Editor Integration of the Enlighter Plugin + Shortcodes still works!)
Andi
Ok, if you point me at any documentation that covers the manual install / integration steps ( FTP or whatever) and I will given it a whirl.
Indeed, I tend to write lots of PowerShell for my clients so I don’t have any choice but test out your RC1.-

docs == work in progress 😉
Andi
I get that but if I am to beta test RC1, I won’t “automagically” know how to install it 😉 .
i’ve currently the following problem: the examples, themes, language support files of the EnlighterJS project are ready. but a lot of docs are still missing. the examples containing enough informations to add EnlighterJS3 successfully to a website.
on the other hand…integrating this version into the current Enlighter WordPress plugin needs some additional work (adding filter hooks to the theme+language selection, disabling resources, …) – writing a tutorial which covers all these things may take a lot of time… 🙁
Well I guess I can test out the installation based on the examples or a rough set of install notes (markup) on Git. The second part looks a bit more time consuming and I wouldn’t know where to start!
I have been involved in beta testing other plugins, so I know the support is a best endeavours.
i’ve added an experiemental + untested guide to the docs:
https://github.com/EnlighterJS/docs/blob/master/experimental/enlighter-wp-plugin-integration.md
oK, I understand the document.
Looks like I will need to install replace the existing EnlighterJS 2.x code but still use the current Enlighter plugin . Is this correct?
