Events Calendar Help

Is there anyway to update the whole calendar at once via a spreadsheet or word doc or a table to fill in blanks? My client creates a monthly calendar of events and having to input the data one page at a time is pretty cumbersome. Perhaps there’s an alternative calendar app but I haven’t found any. Any advice?
