• On some of my site’s pages, when I scroll I find that some of the thumbnail images don’t appear like they should. They appear ghosted, so that you don’t see the complete image in all of its full color appearance.

I thought it was maybe a loading problem. But when I give it time, the images still never totally appear like they should.

I am fairly new to WordPress and recently launched my site. So I would really appreciate any guidance here.

Additionally, I just noticed that this ghosting appearance is also happening on some of my single post pages … with the main image that goes with the post and sometimes with the thumbnails in the “You may also like” section at the bottom.

Are you using a CDN and Cache Plugins together?

I’m new at this, so bear with me. I am using the W3 Total Cache plugin. But it looks like I haven’t really set it up, so it may not be functioning properly. And I’m not really familiar with what CDN is, so I’m guessing I don’t have that.

I just discovered that I’m using Jetpack and in the Performance and Speed section, I have checked the items for Serve Images From Our Global CDN as well as Enable Lazy Loading for Images.

Could having those in place be impacting anything? Should I disable one or both of those things?

Well, that did the trick. I unchecked both items mentioned above, and now all of my images seem to be displaying correctly. For the moment.

I’m a little confused by it all, since I’m a writer and not very tech-oriented. I think I just stumbled upon this fix.
