Enabling the plugin and I seem to have all the requirements. But am unable to access the manifest.json it creates. Any insight on why that may be happening?

  • Hey @johncarlohc

    Thanks for checking out SuperPWA.

It looks like the website is using the roots.io / sage WordPress structure and not the standard WordPress. Is this correct?

If so, we have a known incompatibility with this and a solution is being looked into. If it works out you can expect in the upcoming update and I will update this thread.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks! Yes we are using roots framework!

Do you imagine it coming out in the next release or something longer?

Any workaround for now? Can I use a filter of some sort to change the url (reading from the other thread) to help it work in the meantime?

    Thanks

    Hello again @johncarlohc

Unfortunately it is not an easy workaround, and will involve editing a bunch of files. And since all that will change with the next release, I think it is best to wait it out.

If you insist, right now it would involve moving the manifest and service workers to the location where it is present in the source of the page and adjusting the scope in the manifest accordingly.

Since we have the same issue in a different thread, I am going to go ahead and close this (of course you are welcome to re open if you think differently).
