Need help migrating

    Hi everyone,

    We are switching from a (ss) Shared-Server to a (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server on MediaTemple, and consequently need to migrate our entire database. However, considering I’m simply a writer, I have absolutly no idea how to do this and the person who was going to do this, has since flaked out. Would anyone be interested in helping me out?

    Hi,

    You just need to take a complete backup of your blog and install a new blog on dedicated server..and restore the backup from that server..

    See the following video…you don’t need to do the db editing part if you are not changing the url.
