Comments without approval

    Greetings,
    I have the posts open to all without approval and working correctly. However, I can not get the comments to be open as well. I still need to approve each manually.
    Settings>discussion settings> “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is checked
    “Comment author must fill out name and email
    Users must be registered and logged in to comment “ is not checked.
    “Comment author must have a previously approved comment and Comment must be manually approved” are not checked. Along with 3 hyperlinks allowed.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

    Do the comments contain URL links? WordPress usually “holds” comments that have links in it:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation

    Thanks for getting back to me so quick.
    No there are no links in the comments. just standard replies to posts.
    I am using the plugin “User Submitted Posts” so posting is accessible on the frontend and to the public. There are no settings that I can see that involve “comments” only posts.

    Check in the “User Submitted Posts” settings if there is an option for comments moderation

    Update.
    I was at my wits end and I scanned over my plugins for the zztime and looked at Akismet plugin, it was active and I had never loaded it nor activated it… I suppose it came loaded to begin with on WP.
    Well, DAMN! I deactivated it and SNAP, I have comments working as they should.
