Really good results

I run a local news site in Cobb County Georgia called the Cobb County Courier. At the suggestion of a former publisher who now consults on audience-building issues, I installed Yoast and began clearing as many of the red flags before publishing each article as I could (I find that sometimes the suggestions, particularly in the readability tab, aren’t appropriate for certain types of hard news reporting, particularly courtroom reporting, where the use of precise legal language is necessary).

The results were obvious in a few days. In certain categories on google’s news tab we rose to at or near the top of the first results page.
