    Hi,
    I’m using Mailpoet for newsletters and iscription form. I’ve created a form as indicated in this article https://beta.docs.mailpoet.com/article/252-how-to-add-a-checkbox-field-to-mailpoet-form and add a checkbox for the user to comply with the Privacy Policy. What I would like to do is to link some part of the text, to the actual Privacy Policy page, since as per GDPR istructions, the user should have a clear possibility to read it before submitting.
    I can’t see though how to add the link or some html tag to make the text linkeable.
    The form is placed in the website’s footer.
    Is there any way to achieve this?

    Awating yours

    Best regards

    Alma

  • You go point, Alma.
    Same here.

    With MP3 Designer you can add limited html to your form design but stripes out anything like <a href

    MP3 please respond with a fix for this, thank you.

    Hi Alma and @munich,

    To add a link, you should add an HTML field with the link HTML code.

    Thank you!

    Hi,
    yeah! I just thought there was some other elegant solution other than adding another text under the checkbox and having the “privacy policy” text repeated twice. From a aesthetic point of view, is not so good!

    So there is no way to add the link in the checkbox itself? is it the same with the premium?

    Thanks!

    Even though I already knew that this won’t work. I tried it again for reassurance.

    MP3 form design won’t process html code. Not with the checkbox option and not with html text field.

    Please advise.

    @munich,

    This should not be happening. Can you please contact us here: https://www.mailpoet.com/support/wordpress-forums so we can investigate why your link is not being displayed?

    Thanks!

    @almam,

    Currently, there’s no way to add the link in the checkbox field itself. Same thing for Premium users.

    However, you don’t need to have it repeated. You can have something like:

    – Custom text or HTML field with:
    Read our Privacy Notice

    – Checkbox field:
    [ ] I agree with the terms of service described in the link above.
