    The issue –

Yesterday I manually added all users to a fixed date membership which runs from 1st May 2018 to 30th April 2019 and set the status to Active.

Today I find that the status for all users has reverted back to “Pending activate on next payment”!

If it makes any difference, the payment gateway for all of them is “Manual Payment Gateway” and I also deleted the invoices automatically created when I added them all to the membership since they weren’t required (as users have already paid).

Although it really shouldn’t be happening, since I’d set the status to Active for all of them (and the membership isn’t due to expire until 2019), is the system somehow assuming they haven’t paid and therefore reverting to the pending status? How can I override this? For now, I’ve had to put everyone on a free membership so that they can actually access the site at all but that obviously isn’t a practical permanent solution.

    With many thanks in advance.
    Nik

    Hey @nikbond,

    Hope you’re well.

I tested this on my fresh install Membership 2 and WordPress without any other plugin. Created membership and added member to that. Set the start date and end date same with you and set to Active. When I remove invoice from Billing section, I check the member subscription details and looks like still active.

In your case is it immediately change status to pending? Or should I wait some time?

Or if there is any other step please let me know.

    Cheers,
    Oguz

    Hi Oguz

Yes… next step is to wait overnight! At least in my case, it seemed that all the subscriptions were set back to “pending” at around midnight… hence lots of annoyed users locked out by the time I logged in the next morning 😉

    Regards
    Nik

    Hey @nikbond,

    Hope you’re well.

I waited one day and checked again but looks like my user still seems active. So I can’t replicate it. Maybe there is some kind of plugin conflict with one of the other plugins. Is that possible to set up staging site, deactivate every plugin and try only with Membership 2?

    Cheers,
    Oguz
