Sorry, I forgot to mention that the header was created with Elementor.
Thanks!
Hi Stonez,
I am not sure what causes this but here are my thoughts!
You created a custom header using Elementor and used it as a OceanWP template.
If you added the custom menu in there, that has the mini cart already in it by default.
If you then add the shortcode, you are stuck with 2.
I suspect that is what is happening.
On the other hand, why would you even use a custom header in the first place?
If what I see on your site is all you want, you can achieve that simply by using the OceanWP minimal menu. Cart will be there by default?
Hope this helps,
Annie

Hi Logologics,
Thanks for looking into this and you might be right! That could be what happened.
However, why some pages showed two mini-carts while few other pages showed only one mini-cart was what I couldn’t understand.
One mini-cart: Main page, Shop
Two mini-cart: Branches, single product page
BTW, I am a beginner, so I just follow the instructions from the web source I found. I thought this header could give me the connivence to maintain the header across the website.
I will look into your suggestion to use OceanWP minimal menu with a Cart by default.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Annie,
Thanks, I have followed your suggestion to use the OceanWP minimal menu that came with cart. Now I know, I do not need the header at all… 🙂
The problem was not solved, but your solutions worked for me.
Big Thanks!

Hi Stonez,
Glad you got rid of that second mini cart!
Strange it was only happening on the main page and shop.
Could it be you overwrote those other pages by setting the header style to “default” and not assigning the “custom header” there in per page OceanWP settings?
That would explain it not happening on those pages, because they used the default menu header style and therefore only one minicart?
Anyhow, in your case it is probably better to just “move on” and do not lose any more sleeop over this haha.

Hi Annie,
Yeah…couldn’t agreed with you more… Ha..need more sleep!
Also, your method is much simpler, so I think the page loading time would be reduced.
Thanks!
