Hi there, so am writing as there are still a number of issues that are not fixed or are reoccuring since 2.06 and onwards.

    1) On a couple of my sites I manage (not all), an issue that arose a few developments ago, has returned: namely, when trying to edit posts, the page does not update, and instead throws me back to the main WordPress posts page in the admin back-end.

    2) On all the sites I manage, the re-consent bar is not coming back and the feature on the page where you can click to get re-consent again to show for front-end users, is lagging. It just appears to show the spinning wheel but does nothing.

    3) As others have mentioned, there is still an issue with the data request emails coming through. I have tested and tested and tested this with each new development update that is released, and still nothing coming through, not even going into junk or spam. I have an STMP plugin on my site and a cache plugin. I have tried deactivating these incase they are causing a conflict, but to now avail.

I’m going to be restoring the back-up on the site I can’t get the posts to update, so the 2.09 version is working.

I can not put the sites I work on publicly, to protect my clients, however, as we have spoken before on email @fclaussen and if you are able, am okay to have this conversation privately (especially pertaining to specific sites).

Still think this is the best GDPR plugin on WP, but a few niggles that are still arising.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @emmageddon

1- This is odd. Are you 100% sure that this relates to the plugin?

2- The reconsent bar issue was fixed on the latest release. The spinning wheel when asking for reconsent means it is still working. When asking for reconsent, the plugin loops through all users and remove the consent from their database table. Depending on the number of users this can take a while. I’ll admit that today this is not as performant as it can be (I had reasons to do so in the past), so if you have a large number of users it can be a problem. I had only one user reporting this issue so far. He had 9k users. Does your problematic site have a lot of users?

3- I think I found the solution to this. Some users helped testing this on slack. Would you be able to help test this out too? If possible, I would like to have this released on tomorrow’s update.

Hi @fclaussen, thanks for getting back to me.

1). It’s something I’m about 90% sure on. All three of the sites I am working on, have had this issue at one point or the other since 2.06, and at the moment, two of them are very much with this issue. There are slight differences to the sites, in terms of protection plugins for the sites and one being a store running Woocommerce and the others being straight forward websites. It does seem to occur with updates to this plugin or around it, and prior to having this plugin on the sites, I have never had this issue. Is there a debugger I can run on the sites relating to your plugin to try and narrow this issue down?

    2) The amount of time it takes for the reconsent spinning wheel makes more sense now. Yes my sites have a lot of users, as they are official sites for known musicians, however since the last couple of updates, this is not showing at all at the top of my Privacy page when I do an edit.

    3) I can try and give a little time to help, however I am probably going to be offline in about 45 mins, but if I can help, happy to do so.

1- There were issues when updating to 4.9.6. Not involving the plugin. Issues around how others were doing their own exports to core’s export tools. This might be it, since I don’t mess with pages (except look to see if they were updated and it is one of the tracked pages).

2- Are you running the latest version?

3- It should only take a couple minutes. Join us here: https://join.slack.com/t/gdpr-wp/shared_invite/enQtMzcxOTc3NTAxMTM4LWFkNmEzZTU3ZWY3YTlhYmVlNjNkZmFhN2Y0ZjQ3OGMzN2U3ZmFhMmQ2NjM5ZDRiMjAwOTNlODNiODJmNzdjOWU

    1- Possible, but not sure.

2- Yes, have the latest version running. Although one of the three has remained on the previous version until I know what the issue is.

    3- On it.
