Index coverage | Submitted URL has crawl issue

    Google Search console has said that there is a crawl issue with the following page:

    [ redundant link removed ]

    This is not actually a page on my website, just a category which holds other pages.

    I can’t use Yoast’s settings to disable this from indexing as it isn’t an editable page as mentioned above.

    How can I achieve this?

    It sounds like you are trying to use the post edit screen Yoast meta box. You are in the wrong place for this. In the admin area, if you go to Yoast’s SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies and turn the Categories item to No, Yoast will add a nofollow no index meta tag to category archives so that Google bot does not try to index categories.

    What was the crawl issue? It might be better to fix the issue instead of preventing indexing.
