Add form field to theme

    Hello! I bought a WordPress theme for a petition, this theme https://themeforest.net/item/petition-wechange-one-page-wordpress-theme/12324231

    But I need to add an additional form field that is not included in the form, coming from just pure HTML/CSS/JS I thought this would be easy. But I can’t figure out how to add a form field and it displaying in the settings panel and then allowing me to insert it. I’ve found almost 30 references to the form fields in the PHP and JS files, but trying to add my own refrences did not work. Can I use some plugin for this? Would it store correctly in the database?

    Edit: I need to add a form field that asks for the persons position. ie what job.
