• Hello there,

In the latest patch notes I read:

    4.9 (24.05-2018)
The plugin is now GDPR compliant.

New feature – Added two settings to show the message on the checkout page for guest users and the message to be displayed at the start of the shop page for Registered users.

New feature – Abandoned Cart details will now be exported to the User’s Personal Data from the Tools -> Export Personal Data menu and it can be erased from Tools -> Erase Personal Data

Is the first new feature the way users give consent that their data will be used for abandoned cart to do it’s functionality?

    Hi,

Our plugin simply gives the ability to admin to add any kind of text or page link (to their Privacy Policy). Admin can decide what text should be displayed.

However, it will be up to the admin to make sure that their Privacy Policy explicitly states how the data is used and also what data the plugin captures. I am attaching the screenshot for your reference: https://www.screencast.com/t/hnb1r8Nat

I would like to let you know that we do capture First & Last name and Email Address of the guest user and for registered users, we simply capture the WooCommerce user ID and we use the details from WooCommerce tables.

Let me know if you have any further question with the plugin.

    Regards,
    Chetna Bhutka
