Internal Server Error

    What does this mean when this message appears? “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request…”

    This has been happening for the past 5 hours or so and I don’t have a clue how to resolve it. Does anyone know what this means?

    That message is also known as a 500 Error. I was going to give you a detailed explanation of all the kinds of things that can make a 500 error happen, but I think it is better to say that the first place to start is with your web hosting company. Go through their Support process/people to find out what is going on. Simply tell them what you were doing when the 500’s happen, when it started, and what percentage of the time that it occurs.

    Assuming you are not writing your own php or other programs, this is an indication of something going wrong on the company’s web server that runs your web site.

    strangest thing, the page fixed itself this morning. I really don’t know how it was fixed? I certainly did not do anything…
