    Hi I’m working on a website which will require a booking system, this one seems like it will do the job but I wanted to know if it’s possible to have the booking system and within the calendar for customers be able to choose an event and then book that. Bit hard to explain so I’ll talk through the details below.

    It’s for a cricket coaching company who run coaching courses on various days throughout the week. They want customers to be able to book a course online which will be on a certain day. There will be at least 4 courses to choose from. Customers will be required to input their name, email address, phone number. Payment isn’t necessary as this can be taken in person on the day of the course.

    I’d imagine it would be something like; customer chooses particular course from a drop down menu, calendar shows available days/time slots for course, customer chooses time slot, enters contact details, books course. Customer is then sent confirmation email of the booking. Money is taken on the day (alternatively could use paypal).

    Sorry i’m a bit of a amateur when it comes to this stuff!

    Is this doable?

    Hello.
    Its seems that you need to check the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

    1) In these version you can define only specific dates as available based on season filters. Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#availability

    2) Also you be able to create booking resource (unique calendars) for each type of your courses. Snd yhen to have selection of booking resources in a way like in this example https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/

    3) Also please note this info about bookings for specific times. The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

    You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the “shortcode generator” on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode. ~ You can use one”timerange” (timeslots) or “start time” and”end time” selections or”starttime” and “duration”of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes.     You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: https://bs.wpbookingcalendar.com/ Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.

    4) You can activate or deactivate payment systems at the Booking > Settings > Payment page in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions.

    Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Really helpful!

    With any of these versions, is it possible to customise the page styling around the calendar? i.e so it suits the theme it is going on? Is there flexibility as to the placement of the booking calendar?

    Hello.
    1) Basically you are inserting the booking form into the post or page and appearance around the booking form depend from your theme.

    2) The ability to configure structure of booking form possible in the paid versions of Booking Calendar at the Booking > Settings > Form page. Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields-settings-video-tutorial/
