    Hi,

I am using the theme OceanWP.

The links for ‘forgotten password’ and ‘change password’ all point to the profile page – I assume this is normal.

The’ new password’ box is visible on the profile page and allows text to be entered, but the old password is the only one that can be entered when the user subsequently logs in.

I have deleted the plugin, cashed my browser, then reinstalled TML and still have the same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas, please?

    Phil

I also have Paid Memberships Pro installed, if that helps.

    Thanks

It is normal for those links to redirect to the Profile page if you are logged in and Themed Profiles is active and enabled for the role.

So, you’re saying you can’t change your password? If I’m understanding correctly, can you see if that theme contains a custom profile-form.php?

My host, SiteGround, has confirmed the only profile-form.php is on the TML plugin

So, you enter a new password and click the Update button. The password is not saved?

    Hello Jeff,

    thanks for your reply.

That is correct. I have to log back in with the old password

Please test with no other plugins enabled and a default theme and see if the problem persists.

    Hello Jeff,

I’ve tested with no other plugins enabled and that the TML or PMPro pages are not cached by SiteGround but still no luck.

I am reluctant to try with another theme as I have about 100 pages ready to go and I desperately want to avoid having to start again with a new theme.

Have you come across anyone else having a conflict between TML and OceanWP?

All I can guarantee is that, according to my testing, TML works without any other plugins installed and using any WP bundled theme. Given the sheer amount of plugins and themes out there, it’d be nearly impossible to ensure otherwise.

    Hello Jeff,

    My problem is sorted.

There is an input box on the profile page above the ‘Generate Password’ button.

I was typing in this box, clicking update, and the confirmation message was appearing.

I now realise I should have been using the “Generate Password’ button.

Is there any way I can include an instruction to click this button, or remove the input box above, so that new users don’t get similarly confused?

If you view the page with a default theme, you’ll see how it is supposed to look. Something with your theme is changing that.

Ok, I’ll put some instructions at the top of the page.

I wouldn’t expect anyone from OceanWP to investigate further and I certainly wouldn’t know where to begin.

I’m just relieved it’s now working.

    Thanks for your assistance, Jeff

Hi, I’ve forgotten the password for http://www.scanwatch.ie

When I enter my user name – my email address – and hit “Lost your password?” I get taken to:-

    http://scanwatch.ie/buy/lost-password/

    Thanks

    Alec
