Post Excerpt

Hello,

I was wondering when creating templates, if it was possible to add the POST_EXCERPT parameter as an option? For instance, I have a picture or a link in the top part of my post, the POST_DESC picks that up and send it out in the email. For my posts, I define an excerpt to clean that up and make things more readible on my site. Would it be possible for you to add, or could you guide me, to be able to add the post’s excerpt instead of the description parsed as a whole? Thank you so much for your help!
