Stopping spam submissions

Whats the best/recommended way to stop spam submissions from happening with cforms2 ? Ive noticed recently that one of the forms my companies site has had an uptick in spam submissions recently and wanted to know the best course of actions should be. Is something like implementing google’s reCaptcha the best option ?
