I’m using the Hitchcock theme and this allows you to add in a Social menu that then automatically applies images to the Social Media buttons you add in at the top of the page (see here: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/themes/hitchcock/)

To be safe, I installed a Child Theme (using the Child Theme Configurator by Lilaea Media) and this keeps the buttons at the top of the page but removes the images from them (replacing them with something like [] ). Deactivating the Child Theme brings them back. I’d like to keep running the Child Theme – but is there a way to do so and still include the images on the Social Menu Buttons?

I’ve posted in the Hitchcock forum and contacted the theme author, but have had no response so far… 🙁

    All help appreciated!

  • I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/hitchcock so the plugin’s/theme’s developers and support community can help you with this. They appear pretty responsive.

Ultimately this will come down to how that specific theme was coded and the developers will be the best people to help you.
