    Hello,

I installed bb press notify (no spam) because I want ALL users to be notified every time someone posts a new topic or rely. I have tested it and no notifications are being emailed out. I can’t figure out why it’s not working. I have gone through the settings 100 times. The only thing I found was that I need to checkmark the “send notification” box in the backend of each topic. I tried that and still no notifications. However, if that’s the case, that doesn’t work because I want to be notified when someone creates a new topic. WHen they create a new topic, that box will not be automatically checked.

    Can someone help?

    Kelly

    Hi Kelly (@timeonhand),

What may be happening is that you don’t have the “Authors must be notified of their own posts” option and are testing by creating posts as yourself.

Check the roles that you want notified, uncheck the background notification (for testing only, and only if you don’t already have too many forum users that are to be receiving messages), and install WP Email Logging plugin to help see if there is an issue between the site and your email client (it logs all messages that leave the site, so if they’re there and you haven’t received them, then the problem is elsewhere).

Also check the spam folder to see if they’re not there.

    Cheers!
    Vinny
