• Hi,

Newish to WP but have been working a lot with Joomla, and a little with Drupal.
    Now my “problem”.
I have a blog menu item in my main menu which I thought I set to only display posts from the category “Blog”. However, it also displays posts from my recipe plugin – and I don’t want them there – at all.
(Click on Blog at http://www.theoldecookerybook.com to see this).

How can I prevent/ alternatively ensure that only a specific category of posts are displayed in this menu item? Anyone can point me to a relevant site/instruction?

Under appearances->menu, select “category” at the left and add that category to your menu. (If you don’t see “category” on the left, click screen options at the top right.)

That’s what I was doing, I still get my recipes seeping into the selection =(

EDIT: Found the problem too late, because I am an idiot … Sorry for the extra noise …

Please provide a link to the problem page. Check, too, that you’re not having multiple category assignments on posts.
