• After updated to v2.0.4, I faced 2 issues. Updated to v2.0.7 did not help too.

    (Issue 1) UM did not assign UM user role to registered user. Previously, before updating, a registered user always have 2 roles, Subscriber and the UM role. Now, the user registered from UM Form will only have 1 role, which is Subscriber only. I have checked and ensure that all forms was assigned to the UM role.

    (Issue 2) All extensions, such as Google reCAPTCHA, Terms & Conditions and Profile Tabs, have no function anymore.

    Appreciate if anyone have any idea how to solve these issues?

    Let’s forgot about the issue with extension for now. I need a quick fix on ISSUE 1. UM did not assign user role really causing big problem. Appreciate your advice on how to solve the ISSUE 1. Many thanks!

    Hi,

    UM2.0+ has removed UM roles from the plugin to only use native WP roles now. This is better as UM works with user system better now and makes it easier to use other plugins with UM.

    Is it mean that we can only have one role (one type of member account only), e.g. “Subscriber”?

    Can we still use more than one role? E.g. one registration form assigned to “Subscriber” and another registration form assigned to “Editor”, as long as it is native WP roles?

    If I have completed reassigning new role(s) to previous members, can I safely delete/remove the UM role(s)?
