Upgrade to 4.9.5

I continue to get an email notification saying that my site has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.9.5. However the site doesn’t seem to be upgraded and I continue to receive the same notification at least once a day.
When I go into my site as admin I see the alert: “WordPress 4.9.5 is available! Please update now.” and when I try to update it goes to a page that says “Welcome to WordPress 4.9.4.” WordPress is not getting updated.

Something has gone wrong with the auto update process.
Suggest that you do a manual update to 4.9.5 and probably it will get back onto the auto updates track.
Look for errors during the update such as wrong file permissions, unable to delete files, unable to create files etc.
