    Using Win 10 with Mamp.

    I have set up the wp-config.php file with my user name password and DB name.

    Unable to get past the next steps of entering log on info..
    The host is set to local host.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi, lonetundrawolf! MAMP has known the Virtual server for MacOS. You’re using Win 10, if you don’t have much experience I recommend for XAMPP https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html
    It’s easy to use.

    Delete Wp-config File and Reinstall.

    Hi, I am trying to download the app for WordPress. It stated that it would take five minutes to get blogging, WRONG! I used the same program a couple of years ago, and it did not require the extra knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other features. Can someone suggest how to achieve this without going through all of the technical details?

    @lizk21 perhaps you were hoping to set-up a blog via wordpress.com?

    wordpress.com is for blogs hosted by WordPress, similiar to blogger, simple and quick set-up but you have a domain that is:

    someblogname.wordpress.com

    wordpress.org is for self-hosted blogs run on your own domain, takes a little more time to set-up, requires a registered domain that you own and you pay for hosting (GoDaddy, Name Cheap, etc), and has it’s own name:

    myownsite.com
