    Hi,

New to shield which looks excellent, nice setup wizard for the uninitaiated, too πŸ™‚

I’d like to hide the login page, but am not sure what to put in the form field on that page….do I have to putt the whole URL appended with /hiddenpage…? Or just /hiddenpage..? Or simply the word ‘hiddenpage’…?

As it’s talking about a new path, maybe I have to write out the whole thing?

I tried just putting in the word alone, saved, logged out, erased browser history and cache and recalled the wp-admin page of old….and sure enough it popped up! No 404s or anything. Same with wp-login. Doesn’t seem very hidden to me!

    What am I missing?

    regards

    Hi,

You do not need to put in your WordPress URL. The value you put should be only the last part of the URL path.

Only letters and numbers are permitted, i.e. abc123def45. If you use any other characters, they will be filtered out.

    Please see here:
    https://icontrolwp.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/3000069934-what-is-the-hide-wordpress-login-page-feature-

If you have trouble with this, it could be caused by:
    – some other security plugin running on that site
    – other plugin that modifies your login screen
    – you have added your IP address to the white list

    Hope that helps.

Please note that you’ll need to upgrade to Pro for further support.

    Thanks

    Jelena
