Support HTML and “stay”?

I occasionally would like to put a link in a footnote, and I’d like readers to be able to click the link directly from the hovered text, without having to click the footnote and then click again in the footnote text.

That would require a couple of things: an option to interpret HTML in the footnote, and an option to display the hovered text for X length (usually a second or less) even after taking the cursor off of the footnote ID.

I’ve seen implementations like this out in the wild, just not on WP. It would be great if we could do this on Easy Footnote.
